Meyers Thinggs: A Journey in Personification

Have you ever seen something, out in the world, that looks like you should categorize it like a person?

Vocab Word Time!

Personification: representation of a thing or abstraction as a person or by the human form.

What does this mean for us today? Well let’s take this way back to approximately 9 days ago.

I was passing through an area, let’s call it “the valley” for anonymity. I look out the window, eyes glazing over the cotton candy skies, and I see the great, slowly swaying giants.

These are the slowly swaying giants in question:

I thought about how they seem to watch over the landscape in a quiet, but definitely judgmental way.

This is in accordance with the infamous Myers-Briggs personality framework theory.

To your delight, this framework can be applied to just about anything and that is exactly what you get to read for the remainder of this article.

For example:

These are totally, no doubt ISTP (Introverted, Observant, Thinking, and Prospecting). Bear Grylls was this personality and maybe also Harrison Ford!

Ah yes, windmills. Yes these are ESFJ (Extraverted, Observant, Feeling, and Judging) on account of their more advanced age.

Transmission towers (whatever purpose they serve) are ENTJ (Extraverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging).

These kind of water towers are ISFJ (Introverted, Observant, Feeling, and Judging). They seem shy.

Lighthouses are INFP (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting). Unique, and special these ones.

The space needle is ENTP (Extraverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Prospecting). Honey badger for sure.

Of course we have to include Lucy The Elephant to finish this lineup. That kooky lady is without a doubt ENFP (Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting).

The End
